Greetings,
It is my great joy to serve alongside the people of Raymond United Methodist Church. My calling as Parish Coordinator is rooted in the conviction that all of us are ministers in the world—called to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and to live lives shaped by grace that
transforms us in how we love, forgive, and serve.
I was born and raised in South Korea and have spent many years in the United States, along with three years in Canada. I’ve had the privilege of serving churches in both rural and urban communities, and each setting has taught me something about God’s presence and faithfulness. Since 2024, I have served as pastor of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Manchester, and in 2025, I responded to a call from our Bishop to extend my ministry to the beloved congregation in Raymond.
Before coming to New Hampshire, I pastored three congregations in Maine, where I learned to cherish the beauty of small-town ministry and the power of authentic community. My pastoral identity draws from both Korean and American church traditions, and I believe the church is at its best when it reflects the fullness of God’s diverse and welcoming family.
I earned my Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology, where I was shaped by a theological education that values justice, compassion, and a deep engagement with Scripture. I see the Bible not just as a book of answers, but as a living invitation into God’s
mystery—a story that continues to shape our lives with truth, hope, and grace.
One of my greatest joys is ministering to people of all ages, especially children. My wife and I are the grateful parents of twin girls who fill our home with art, imagination, laughter, and profound questions. Their curiosity about fairness, love, and God often challenges and inspires
my preaching and reminds me to see the world through eyes of wonder.
Outside of ministry, I enjoy running, good books, strong coffee, and moments of stillness. I’m excited to learn more about the life of the Raymond community and look forward to sharing this journey of faith with you—whether you’ve been part of the church for years or are just beginning to explore.
